I used hair from uw.st, but customized it to have a Na’Vi Queue braid with braid pieces from Scribble. I also customized the bow “sheath” from AC Creations, replacing the straight string with a curved string so it could be worn slung around my torso. The ears from The Plastik start out as long elven ears, but I shortened them to Na’Vi size and adjusted the piercings on them to fit the new, smaller size. The ears come with a texture changer that includes a blue texture.

The chipmunk avatar comes fully dressed, but also includes a naked version so you can buy your own tiny clothes.

Of course, being a tiny presents a set of challenges. Everything that animates your avatar needs new special animations. Usually a chair for tinies (if it’s even available) is an afterthought. The Leather Sofa from SALA makes for a luxury tiny seat. The Stuffed Toy AO from Kami-Hitoe is a complete AO for tinies and the animations look more believable than the weird, wobbly body crusher that comes free with a lot of tiny avatars. It also includes an animation protector feature that allows you to use many normal animations with your tiny avatar. …and one last note, Abranimations has some nice dances for tinies.

The acorn farm is in an acorn itself, which can be worn with the cap on or with the plants exposed to the sunlight. You can also drop the backpack and touch it to transform it into a giant acorn farm that you can walk around in. This mode even includes an option to turn on particle rain to water the crops!

This was an avatar I made for the District 13 sim, but I ended up not using it. The free rifle from District 13 comes with a complete set of really nice animations, so you don’t need an AO while wearing it. Unfortunately, it works with their game system only, so if you want it to fire you need to go back to D13 to get ammo.

The pet raven sits on your shoulder and can be commanded to cry out. You can also command it to fly around you and caw. A useful RP tool to attract attention to your hiding place, or as a distraction for a quick getaway!

A very nice touch to add to the creepiness is the visible breath attachment. There are various options for visible breath/cold breath on xStreet, and while this one isn’t my favorite, it is copiable. No-copy, wearable items are a pet peeve of mine.

Any tail for merfolk requires a special AO to keep your legs together and swimming. I recommend the mer AOs at Kami-Hitoe.

Another must is a swim HUD like Swimaid from Bunni’s Toybox. It keeps you swimming in the water so you can fly(/swim) freely, even up to the water’s surface, without accidentally floating around in the sky.

The jellyfish pet is actually a jellyfish avatar, but the av is just a single object, so just wear it on your shoulder! The Akasha pet is a rezzable pet that can follow you. It’s difficult to see how beautiful this item is in a still photograph, so I recommend you take a look in-world. It’s quite impressive.

The staff can be clicked to show or hide the glowing blade.

The mask was fairly heavily modified (retextured, adjusted piece-by-piece, and recolored to match other jewelry). The Musashi Blades Assassination Tanto tucks neatly into the back of the sari skirt, and can be drawn at any time to cut the throat of anyone around you, animating both avatars and spraying particle blood.

This was my attempt at a Gorean freewoman. I understand they wear robes and veils. Well, the Sari makes for a nice “robe” and the mask is certainly a unique “veil.” All the poses are stills from the Xstar AO, which I think is particularly well-suited to this avatar.

The particles pictured are rezzed by the Botanical – Will-O-Wisp, multi color. It’s a small, sculpted rock that you would normally buy to put in a garden. One at a time, it rezzes three particle emitters. Once all the emitters have been rezzed, they find each other and begin to dance around. I attached mine to my avatar and made it very small and transparent. It also has three modes: on, off, and timed. In timed mode, the particles only appear at night. It makes for a very cool magical effect, having clouds of glowing light floating around you. Also, since it rezzes emitters, the small clouds will stay behind, leaving a trail of magic wherever you roam!

Just a note: this avatar is not for the newbie! In order to add the new eyes and horns, I did have to drop and unlink the head object, and then recombine it with the new additions. The tail ornaments and necklace are actually piercings taken off of elf ears from The Plastik. The clothes had to be pretty heavily modified to fit. I also colored the wings of my Floof; always buy the white one so you can easily add custom color!

One last thing: If you want to be a mage like me, I recommend any of the spell systems from The Arcanum.

I added custom scripts to the visor from 110prims to animate my arm and make the visor flip open on touch. Both the glowing parts of the armor and the bullets from the gun are color-change, so it works great for team play. The headset from S.I.C includes a typing AO. All of the armor plates from 110prims are scripted to break apart when hit.
